REGION V Cincinnati Chapter 040 Highlights Our January meeting was a panel discussion on ASHRAE 62.1-2004 (OA Requirements) had an attendance of 70+. Panel was highlighted by Director of Cincinnati Plan Examiners, County Inspectors and local engineers. Instituted payment by Pay Pal to accommodate credit card usage for all ASHRAE activities. Outstanding Board & Committee members dedicated and hard working contributors Monthly meeting topics were solicited by the membership to focus on local interests.

REGION V Cincinnati Chapter 040 Challenges & Solutions o Limited engineer involvement o Limited general membership involvement o Committee positions not filled o Same six Board & Committee positions performing all duties o SOLUTION…more social events to create additional interest o SOLUTION…continued efforts to solicit meeting topics from membership & broaden luncheon and technical session topics to include soft-skills (communication, leadership). o SOLUTION…additional focus on the engineering community (assign BOG & Committee to select engineering firms as “ASHRAE representative”)
