Meteors

Basics -meteor is the visible path of a meteoroid that enters the Earth’s (or another body's) atmosphere, commonly called a shooting star or falling star. -during the entry of a meteoroid into the uppen atmosphere, an ionization trail is created, where the molecules in the upper atmosphere are ionized by the passage of the meteor. Such ionization trails can last up to 45 minutes at a time

Meteors and meteor showers METEOR METEOR SHOWER WITH RADIANT

Meteor observation method  1. Radio observation  2. Video observation  3. ELF observation  4. VLF observation

Radio observation AntennaReceiverSoftware -Frequency: ≈100MHz -big Yagi antenna -receiver and software

Schematics 1.Radio source 2.Meteor passing by 3.Receiver

To do  Find a pillar for antenna  Place antenna  Find frequency  Installation  Observation  Analysis

Video observation -stable DC power supply -Matrox Meteor II video card Video cameraDC power supply

Schematics PC Half Resolution: 384x288 Full Resolution: 768x572 Video Capture Card: Matrox Meteor II MetRec Software Record meteors trajectory and magnitude which changes in time for later study.

To do  Install MetRec software  Testing  Observation  Analisys(Recording, measuring magnitude and angular velocity, drawing Light curve)

ELF/SLF/ULF VOLTAGE FOLLOWER From 3Hz to 300Hz FILTER OSCILOSCOPE PC

Oscilloscope for testing the equipment Signal generator and filter Electrometer
