Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is a large park full of trees, flowers, rivers and plants. It is home to lots of wildlife! How can we support wildlife in our homes, schools and cities? 2

Our children went on a Wildlife Safari. They have been learning about the wildlife living in the Park: Common Carder Bee Emperor Dragonfly Soprano Pipistrelle Kingfisher Smooth Newt 3

You can see lots of wildlife in our school and at the local Park. With the person sitting next to you, can you name three animals that live in the local area? 4

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will provide an escape in its green, open spaces and beside the waterways. Features of the Park have been designed and created to ensure that it achieves a sustainable future. What does it mean for a place to be sustainable? 5

It is set to become London’s leading destination for leisure, life and business. New visitors will be attracted to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park by the creation of fun and exciting attractions. Did you know that 9.3 million visitors are expected annually from 2016. 6

Our students have been challenged to create a new temporary ‘sustainable’ attraction to encourage visitors to the Park. I believe this attraction would be a fantastic addition to the Park because… 7 Indicative CGI – not final design

What’s on See London’s only professional Basketball team – London Lions – play in the Copper Box Arena. Join the crowd, cheer on the team and come and meet some players after every game. 13

What’s on Come and get your hands dirty at the Mobile Garden City, the exciting new food growing space and community garden. Help us to plant produce, and learn about horticulture and food growing. 14

What’s on Battling for the famous rainbow jerseys, the world's best cyclists are returning to the famous velodrome for the 2016 UCI Track World Championships between 2-6 March 2016. Watch our cyclists compete for the last qualifying points on offer for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. 15

What’s on See over 900 of Europe’s top athletes take to the water to compete in LEN European Aquatics Championships 2016 between 9-22 May 2016.
