Grant Types and Rates (Dependent on your Reckonable Income) Fee Grant (undergraduate and postgraduate students only)  Undergraduate: €3,000 Student Contribution or up to €6,270 fees  Fees are Paid directly to Colleges  100% or 50% rates  Postgraduate: €2,000 or up to €6,270 Fee Contribution Maintenance Grant (undergraduate and PLC students only)  “adjacent” = distance <45k from college  €1,215 adjacent or €3,025 non-adjacent  100%, 75%, 50%, 25% rates  Special rate: €2,375 adjacent/€5,915 non-adjacent  Paid to Students (9 monthly instalments)  Not payable if on BTEA.

SUSI Process/Timeline 1.Student: Apply online at www.susi.ie April-July 2016www.susi.ie 2.SUSI: Initial assessment & request documents (2-3 weeks) 3.Student: P ost copies of documents to SUSI (3 weeks) 4.SUSI: Final assessment and grant decision (6-8 weeks) 5.Student/CAO: Submit course acceptance details (August) 6.College: confirm student registration (September) 7.SUSI: Pay grant to student/college (October)

5. KEY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Nationality: Irish, EU, EEA, Swiss nationals or have specific leave to remain in the State. Residency: 3 of last 5 years in Ireland, EU, EEA or Switzerland. Progression in education – NFQ levels 5-10. Approved College/Course ‘Reckonable’ Income (Class - Dependent/Independent) less than €54,240/ €59,595/ €64,700 (min. grant) less than €39,875/ €43,810/ €47,575 (max. grant)
