2 Wigwams are small houses, usually Wigwams are 8-10 feet tall. Wigwams are made of wooden frames which are covered with woven mats and sheets of birchbark. The frame can be shaped like a dome, like a cone, or like a rectangle with a arched roof. HOMES

3 The Ojibwa people ate, Corn, Fish, Nuts and fruit, Wild dog, wild rice and Small game. Small game is a small animal like, squirl, rabbit and Fox. Ojibwa people also ate Big Game. Like, Deer and bear. When Ojibwa fished, they used spears and fishhooks. When Ojibwa hunted they used traps. Woodland Chippewas used spears or fishhooks with sinew lines for fishing, and special paddles called knockers for riceing.Food

4 Clothing The Men Wore Animal Skin, Animal Skin is Skin from another Animal’s Body. Moccasins, are a Shoe that the Ojibwa People wore they were made out of Leather. Breechcloth and Leggings, A Breechcloth is a long Rectangular piece of Tanned Deerskin, Cloth or Animal Fur. Breechcloths leave bare legs so the Ojibwa people wore Leggings to protect their bare legs from getting dirty or hurt. The Women Wore Animal Skin, Animal skin is Skin from another Animals Body. Headdresses, Headdresses are something that the Ojibwa People wore… The Headdresses were made out of, Feathered war bonnets and had Removable sleeves.

6 Where did they live? THEY LIVED…. The Ojibwa people lived in… The upper Peninsula and the Northeastern part of the lower Peninsula. THEY ALSO LIVED IN, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Southern Canada.

7 Special Skill The Ojibwa people usually Made hand made Cannoes. They also went hunting. All the men did the hunting. The girl’s did the gardening. The girl’s planted corn, beans and earbs.

9 Cool Facts from: Eric Newengham The three fires were called the Anishinabag. The three fires had to hunt for their food. They used traps and small animals. Lake’s, Rivers and streams were used for bathing. Sometimes they would take members from other tribes during battles. The children that were taken would be adopted and become part of the tribe. The used different plants as medicines. When the environment changed, some of the plants they used for medicines were no longer available.
