Presidential Qualifications Constitutional Qualifications Natural-born U.S. citizen At least 35 years old Resident of the U.S. for 14 years Personal Qualities Experience in government Money Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 Attempted to limit money received from individual donors Moderate beliefs

Presidential Succession Established with 25 th Amendment Section 1: President is removed, Vice President shall become president Section 2: Vice Presidency is vacant, President can nominate a new one Vice President is next in line Followed by Speaker of the House

Presidential Disability Vice President takes over in case of disability Notify Congress President Vice President and a majority of the cabinet Resume powers by notifying Congress
