How to apply for study abroad To search within our exchange agreements please use the following link: http://exchangeagreements.aau.dk Search for e.g. a specific university or a country and especially within Erasmus+ agreements always look for agreements made by your own study board. Choose the courses which can give you a credit transfer Choose courses in cooperation with your supervisor Choose 30 ECTS credits or equivalent 3-5 courses to obtain a ”full-time programme”

traineeship abroad To register for an Erasmus+ traineeship abroad plase go to: http://exchangeapplications.aau.dk It is your own responsibility to find and organise the placement The duration of the stay must be between 3-5 months The traineeship must be an integral part of your study programme at Aalborg University. Please contact your Study Board if you are uncertain about your options. We can guide you and we will be happy to help you with your CV and application

traineeship abroad Find out if going on a traineeship is an integrated part of your study programme Register for a traineeship in the online application system http://exchangeapplications.aau.dk Grant You have automatically applied for a grant when registering Search for a traineeship Upload your CV and motivation letter if you would like IO to comment on it Erasmus+ Learning Agreement for Traineeships Upload the signed Learning Agreement in the online application system Erasmus+ language assessment 1 Go abroad Grant Agreement Erasmus+ language assessment 2 Return – upload the final documents

Required Insurances for traineeships 1.Health insurance 2.Liability insurance (covering damages caused by the student during work at the workplace) 3.Accident insurance (covering injuries to the student during the traineeship / internship) Please note that the European Commission requires all three insurances in case you receive an Erasmus+ grant.

Erasmus + Online Linguistic Support The Online Linguistic Support (OLS) has been designed to assist Erasmus+ participants in improving their knowledge of the language in which they will work or study The OLS offers online language assessments (mandatory) and language courses to participants in Erasmus+ mobility activities of at least three months (studies/traineeships) In one of the following languages as the main language of instruction or work: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian and Dutch. The results of your language assessment do not prevent you from taking part in the Erasmus+ mobility. For Higher Education students, the results are not communicated to the receiving institution/organisation.

Erasmus+ OLS Two mandatory assessments: one prior to your departure one upon your return You will receive a link to the assessment to your AAU student email about 1 month prior to departure The assessment takes approx. 40 to 50 minutes, and consists of questions regarding e.g. grammar, vocabulary and comprehension with a total of 70 questions. You will have 30 days to fulfill the assessment The result is automatically sent to the Erasmus+ coordinator

Erasmus+ OLS Results are ranged from level A1 (lowest score) to C2 (highest score) If your result is B1 (or lower) you have the opportunity to follow an online language course during your stay abroad in order to improve your language competence, if you wish to. Grant When you apply through our online system you automatically apply for a grant – ONLY if you apply within the deadlines. Medium range countries:Ireland, France, Italy, Austria, Finland, Sweden, United Kingdom, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland Lower range countries:Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Spain, Croatia, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Iceland, Turkey,Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and FYR of Macedonia Medium range – EUR per month Lower range – EUR per month Study abroad250200 Traineeships350300

Deadlines To apply for a grant: 1 March for the Fall semester and 1 November for the Spring semester To hand in documentation to the International Office: 1 June for the Fall semester and 1 December for the Spring semester.
