Cisco Confidential 7 Start Services -> Configures BMA and start Network Services From the BMA logs make sure that BMA is able to talk to UCSD and status is coming as “active” for the BMA report. BMA logs can be viewed in UCSD with “View BMA Logs” action button

Cisco Confidential 8 Stop Services -> Stops Network Services in BMA Service Status - > Service status in BMA and DB connectivity to UCSD Set Default BMA -> Make the selected as default BMA Configure DHCP -> DHCP Configuration View DHCP Configuration -> DHCP Configuration from BMA View DHCP Logs - > Logs from /var/log/messages View BMA Logs -> Network Services logs from BMA

Cisco Confidential 9 Administration -> Physical Accounts -> Bare Metal Agents -> Select BMA Account -> Configure DHCP /etc/dhcpd.conf in BMA appliance will be updated and DHCP service will be restarted once DHCP configuration form is submitted.

11 © 2012 Cisco and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved. Cisco Confidential 11 Specify the MAC address of the Bare Metal or VM for which PXE boot need to be performed. Specify other parameters like Hostname, password, Server address, time zone, etc. for the VM/BM Select the target BMA and image for PXE Boot. Once the request is successfully submitted, select the record and perform “Setup PXE Environment” action. Watch target BMA logs to make sure the configuration files got created in BMA

Cisco Confidential 15 Set up PXE Boot - > Legacy PXE boot request WF task Setup PXE Boot with BMA selection -> PXE Request task with option to choose BMA Setup Windows PXE boot -> PXE request for Windows images Monitor PXE Boot -> WF task for monitoring PXE boot process Remove PXE Boot Request -> Cleaning up PXE Boot setup
