5
He turned not His face from our pain and destruction he drank the bitter cup to the end he who knew no sin, took the punishment for us deserted by God, man and friend Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away our sin the light of the world, the Son of God worthy is the Lamb to receive our praise glory and honour and power

‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one; you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ Jesus said: ‘This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’
10
Let us confess our sins in penitence and faith, with a sincere and a true heart.
11
Merciful God, our maker and our judge, we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, and in what we have failed to do: we have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbours as ourselves; we repent, and are sorry for all our sins. Father, forgive us. Strengthen us to love and obey you in newness of life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
14
you are seated at the right hand of the Father: receive our prayer. For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.
15
O God, whose blessed Son came into the world that he might destroy the works of evil and make us your children and heirs of eternal life: grant that, having this hope, we may purify ourselves as he is pure; that, when he comes again with power and great glory, we may be made like him in his eternal and glorious kingdom; where he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

PSALM 127
18
1Unless the Lord builds the house: their labour is but lost that build it. 2 Unless the Lord keeps the city: the watchmen watch in vain. 3 It is in vain that you rise up early and go so late to rest, eating the bread of toil: for the Lord bestows honour—and on those whom he loves. 4 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his gift.
19
5 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior: are the children of one’s youth. 6 Happy the man who has his quiver full of them: he will not be put to shame when he confronts his enemies at the gate.

Hebrews 9.23-28 Page 1872
22
From heaven You came, helpless babe, entered our world, Your glory veiled, not to be served but to serve, and give Your life that we might live. This is our God, the Servant King, He calls us now to follow Him, To bring our lives as a daily offering of worship to the Servant King.
23
There in the garden of tears my heavy load He chose to bear; His heart with sorrow was torn, Yet not my will but yours, He said. This is our God, the Servant King, He calls us now to follow Him, To bring our lives as a daily offering of worship to the Servant King.
24
Come see His hands and His feet, The scars that speak of sacrifice, Hands that flung stars into space To cruel nails surrendered. This is our God, the Servant King, He calls us now to follow Him, To bring our lives as a daily offering of worship to the Servant King.
25
So let us learn how to serve And in our lives enthrone Him, Each other’s needs to prefer, For it is Christ we’re serving. This is our God, the Servant King, He calls us now to follow Him, To bring our lives as a daily offering of worship to the Servant King. © 1983 Kingsway’s Thankyou Music

A Reading from Mark Chapter 12, Verses 38-44 Glory to you Lord Jesus Christ For the Gospel of the Lord, Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.
28
Let us together affirm the faith of the Church: I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead.
29
On the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
31
God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life John 3. 16
34
Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Allelu, alleluia alleluia alleluia alleluia allelu, alleluia
35
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Allelu, alleluia alleluia alleluia alleluia allelu, alleluia

37
Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation. Through your goodness we have these gifts to share. Accept and use our offerings for your Glory And for the service of your kingdom. Blessed be God for ever.
39
All glory and honour be yours always and everywhere, mighty Creator, everliving God. We give you thanks and praise for our Saviour Jesus Christ, who by the power of your Spirit was born of Mary and lived as one of us. By his death on the cross and rising to new life, he offered the one true sacrifice for sin and obtained an eternal deliverance for his people.
40
Therefore with angels and archangels, and with all the company of heaven, we proclaim your great and glorious name, for ever praising you and saying: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
41
Merciful God, we thank you for these gifts of your creation, this bread and wine, and we pray that by your Word and Holy Spirit, we who eat and drink them may be partakers of Christ's body and blood. On the night he was betrayed Jesus took bread; and when he had given you thanks he broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,
42
'Take, eat. This is my body given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.‘ After supper, he took the cup, and again giving you thanks he gave it to his disciples, saying, ‘Drink from this, all of you. This is my blood of the new covenant shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.‘ Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.
43
Therefore we do as our Saviour has commanded: proclaiming his offering of himself made once for all upon the cross, his mighty resurrection and glorious ascension, and looking for his coming again, we celebrate, with this bread and this cup, his one perfect and sufficient sacrifice for the sins of the whole world.
44
Renew us by your Holy Spirit, unite us in the body of your Son, and bring us with all your people into the joy of your eternal kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord, with whom, and in whom, in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, we worship you, Father, in songs of never-ending praise: Blessing and honour and glory and power are yours for ever and ever. Amen.
45
As our Saviour has taught us we are confident to pray, Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
46
We break this bread to share in the body of Christ. We who are many are one body, for we all share in the one bread.
47
The gifts of God for the people of God. Come let us take this holy sacrament of the body and blood of Christ in remembrance that he died for us, and feed on him in our hearts by faith with thanksgiving.
48
Holy Communion Hymn: Take my Life.
49
Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to thee; take my moments and my days, let them flow in ceaseless praise. Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of Thy love; take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for thee.
50
Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King; take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from thee. Take my silver and my gold, not a mite would I withhold; take my intellect, and use every power as thou shalt choose.
51
Take my will, and make it Thine; it shall be no longer mine; take my heart, it is Thine own; it shall be Thy royal throne. Take my love; my Lord, I pour at Thy feet its treasure store; take myself, and I will be ever, only, all, for thee. Francis Ridley Havergal 1836-79
52
Gracious God, we thank you that in this sacrament you assure us of your goodness and love. Accept our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving and help us to grow in love and obedience that we may serve you in the world and finally be brought to that table where all your saints feast with you for ever.
53
Most loving God, you send us into the world you love. Give us grace to go thankfully and with courage in the power of your Spirit.
54
The peace of God which passes all understanding keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord; and the blessing of God almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be among you and remain with you always. Amen
56
My Jesus, my Saviour Lord, there is none like you; All of my days I want to praise the wonders of your mighty love. My comfort, my shelter, tower of refuge and strength, let every breath, all that I am, never cease to worship you.
57
Shout to the Lord, all the earth; let us sing power and majesty, praise to the King. Mountains bow down and the seas will roar at the sound of your name. I sing for joy at the work of your hands; for ever I’ll love you, forever I’ll stand. Nothing compares to the promise I have in you!
