“Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live and in your name I will lift up my hands” (Ps 63:3-4).

9

10 WE PRAISE GOD: Because of who He is.
“Sing praise to God, sing praises, sing praises to our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise.” (Ps 47:6-7).

11 BECAUSE OF WHAT HE DOES. “Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

12 He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases; He redeems my life from the pit and crowns me with love and compassion. He satisfies my desires with good things, so that my youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Ps 103:1-5).

13 “…they who seek the Lord will praise him ….” (Ps 22:26).
GOD IS PRAISED BY: Those who seek HIM. “…they who seek the Lord will praise him ….” (Ps 22:26). Everything that has Breath. “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord” (Ps 150:6).

14 WE PRAISE GOD: AT ALL TIMES.
“I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips” (Ps 34:1). IN EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE. “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1Ths 5:16-18).

19 Worship is an expression of love and adoration.
It is possible to admire someone and appreciate what they do without being in love with them. In the same way, worship has to do with our love of the Lord.

20 It can be expressed only with the giving of our whole heart and life to Him.
“To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself, is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices (Mark 12:33).

21 “Yet a time is coming, and has now come, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in SPIRIT and TRUTH” (John 4:23, 24).

22 Our spirit is called the “inner man” (Eph 3:16).
IN SPIRIT Our spirit is called the “inner man” (Eph 3:16). True worship takes place when the inner man, in response to the promptings of God’s Spirit, expresses love and adoration to God.

23 True worship requires the action of the Holy Spirit on our spirit.
This can take the form of spoken words, a love-song to the Lord, or silent adoration. True worship requires the action of the Holy Spirit on our spirit. So, only those who have been “born again of the Spirit” through faith in Jesus Christ can truly worship God (John 3:5-8).

44 BENEFITS OF PRAISE

45 Praise helps us honor, worship, and give maximum glory to the One who deserves it (Eph. 1:1).
Praise puts our focus on God, not our problems. God’s power, presence, and ability transform our thinking.

46 Praise helps us complete God’s primary purpose for creating us. (Eph
It is impossible to know the will of God without true worship. (John 4:24) Praise helps us understand our own identity, privileges, and responsibilities. (Eph.1:1)

47 Praise helps us fully appreciate and appropriate God’s grace and goodness of peace. (Eph.1:2)
Praise helps us gain a richer sense of spiritual, mental, emotional, social, and physical tranquility.

48 Praise helps us gain a greater awareness of how enriched we are through God’s blessings. (Eph.1:3)
Praise helps us feel greater security in His everlasting love that chose us from creation. (Eph.1:4)

49 Praise helps us have greater self esteem knowing that God picked us out for Himself. (Eph.1:4)
Praise helps us give greater incentive to live our lives in holiness and consecration. (Eph.1:4) Praise helps us live lives that are blameless, pure, and wholly devoted to God. (Eph.1:4)

50 Praise humbles us. When we worship God, we gain a right view of ourselves.
Praise deflates excess pride and ego. We gain a healthy self image, based on God’s view of us. By removing pride, praise strengthens us against temptation. Praise helps us share with others the rich blessings that can be theirs through Christ.

51 Praise helps us understand our inherited entitlements in Christ. (Eph
Praise reminds us that we are created to be witnesses of His praise to t5-billion non-Christians. Praise reminds us of our wonderful redemption, deliverance, and salvation in Christ. (Eph.1:7) Praise relieves us from guilt, shame, and the weight of our sin through Christ. (Eph.1:7)

52 Praise reveals our devotion to God. If I love Christ, I will praise Him. If He is first in my life, I will honor Him with praise and thanksgiving. Praise establishes our faith. The greater we see our God, the smaller we see our problems. Praise elevates our emotions. Worry, fear, and doubt cannot survive long in an atmosphere of praise.

53 Praise brings God’s presence
Praise brings God’s presence. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabits the praises of Israel (Psalm 22:3). God’s presence brings joy. In thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore (Psalm 16:11). The joy of the Lord is our strength. For the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

54 I praise and worship him because:
When I fall, He lifts me up! When I fail, He forgives me! When I am weak, He is strong! When I am lost, He is the way!

55 When I am afraid, He is my courage! When I stumble, He steadies me!
When I am hurt, He heals me! When I am broken, He mends me! When I am blind, He leads me!

56 When I am hungry, He feeds me! When I face trials, He is with me!
When I face persecution, He shields me! When I face problems, He comforts me!

57 When I face loss, He provides for me!
When I face death, He carries me home!

58 He is everything for everybody, everywhere, every time and every way.
He is God, He is faithful, I am His, and he is mine
