Executive Summary The problem that we decided to solve was how to deal with an uncooperative co-worker. When you deal with this this problem in the workplace it creates tension and bad communication. With the methods we focus on The problem and analyzing the problem Criteria Organizing our solutions And implementation of the solution Implementation is the biggest factor of our solution. Ask the employee if they need help. Discuss any problems that they may be having And talk to them about the importance of cooperation

Project description Our project is going to discuss how to deal with a Un- cooperative coworker, it will also offer many solutions on how to fix this problem. Our main purpose is to help ease tension in the work place. Teach people to better communicate and cooperate with co-workers in a workplace. Creates less discrimination. An overall happy workplace.

Methods In order for our group to come up with a solution to our problem, we used the reflective thinking process. It helps us to be open minded and think of all the possibilities. Stay organized. Eliminate distractions. Make meeting time efficient and time productive.

Methods: Analyzing the Problem Analyzed Characteristics, stakeholders, the history, policies and politics, and resources. Negative Characteristics: Tense work environment, they get in the way and less is accomplished. Positive Characteristics: Get more experience, get job done in own way. Stakeholders Everyone involved with the company: employees customers.

Methods: Analyzing the Problem Continued… History Solutions: Notify the boss, written warning, work probation, required addition training (general) Policies and Politics: Rights of the employee, no discrimination, Resources: Textbook, online related articles

Methods: Criteria Used to keep solution and realistic Try to solve the majority of the problem Everyone keeps their job Let employee know its important for them to do their job Show them the consequences Creates a positive working environment Better communication Less discrimination Ethical interaction

Methods: Organize After brainstorming we narrowed down our list to 6 possible solutions. We combined ideas that were similar Eliminated ideas that were not realistic Then we created a chart to further eliminate solutions. The solution we came up with Learn the reasoning behind the uncooperative employee’s behavior to better find out how you can help them cooperate and make sure they know of its importance.

Methods: Organize Continued… Negative consequences to this solution Won’t tell you what is going on Might get defensive, feel discriminated against Solutions to negative consequences Let them know it is safe to say what is wrong Explain you are only trying to help Apply it to the specific situation

Methods: Implementation Asses the problem Find where the co-worker is lacking Let them know we want to help and create a positive working environment for everyone Let them know their cooperation is essential to help the team move forward After we pinpoint their problem ask them how we can help Help them understand task at hand or offer to help with personal issue

Conclusion Our purpose for writing this proposal is to find a solution to the problem of having an uncooperative coworker. Our solution takes into account several concepts on how to fix this problem. If the uncooperative employee does not want to tell you what is going on. They get defensive and feels discriminated against. Ways to cope with them Let them know that what they say is confidential. Explain that you are only trying to help. Make the solution personal, make it specific situation.
