Sample Conference (Routman, Alexsandra-Grade 2, title 69, 4:30)
Things to look for: Purpose Compliment Teaching Point Goal Setting Primary Conference from Regie Routman’s DVD Ervin, 2nd grade. 1st, play video. Then play Regie’s Comments. Last, Discuss at table groups one aspect from the conference As the video plays, choose 1 component to look for. Be ready to share what you noticed with your group.

Management Ideas Establish a predictable, systematic conferencing schedule. Organize with color coded writing folders. Include goal setting & evaluation. Teach parents to facilitate “mini-conferences.” Teach students to hold peer conferences. Take picture of goal cards, writing folders, schedule
