Wikis (www.WikiSpaces.com)www.WikiSpaces.com A wiki is a FREE website and there are no ads! It includes the ability to collaborate with colleagues and students. (I’ve only scratched the surface of what can be done!) It’s easy to create, edit and maintain. If I can do it, anyone can! FYI - The word wiki comes from the Hawaiian word for “ quick. ”
3
Use wikis for… Use it to: Communicate with students, parents and the community. Design motivating and engaging learning environments and materials. Facilitate student clubs. Improve personal productivity and organization. Participate in collaborative inter-class, inter- department/grade level, inter-school and international projects. Support Professional Development and Professional Learning Communities. Transform what it means to teach, learn and understand!
4
Bloom ’ s Taxonomy a la Web 2.0 Tools Wiki’s are at the top!

A Wiki is a Web 2.0 tool that CONNECTS your students to the world!
6
Remember: Technology is a TOOL, not a learning outcome!
7
Technology is great, but don’t let it take-over your life!

Embed Videos (con’t) 5. Click on "video” - then the type of video (you tube etc) 6. Paste the embed code (mumbo-jumbo) and click save 7.
