Systemwide Safety Programs Major Functions Provide guidance and direction to schools, departments, and offices; Oversee student and employee safety programs systemwide; Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations; Coordinate safety training; Evaluate hazards, investigate accidents; Coordinate playground installation/repair/replacement.

Safety Program Information Updates and Reminders Memo to all principals and directors (coming July) Accidents, Injuries/Illnesses (report to OSSI) Form 525-2 for student injuries Infectious diseases (meningitis, tuberculosis, pertussis, rubella, measles, cholera, etc.) – notify school nurse, call SSP immediately (301-370-2141) 1-888-606-2562 (first report of injury for staff injuries) Work-related fatalities/hospitalization – call SSP immediately MOSH inspection Call SSP immediately
