2 Questions on reading  1. What does a seatbelt do?  A seatbelt stops your motion in a car.  2. How does this relate to Newton’s First Law?  A person in motion will stay in motion until the seatbelt stops them.  3. What do airbags do?  Airbags slow down the acceleration of a person in the car.

3  4. How do airbags relate to Newton’s Second Law?  Airbags decrease the acceleration, which decreases the force.  5. What is a crumple zone?  A crumple zone is part of the car designed to get crushed.  6. How does the crumple zone relate to Newton’s Second Law?  The crumple zone decreases the force on the car, so less force on the people inside.
