I T S HOULD P RODUCE M EEKNESS A ND H UMILITY Why does it take people to get caught in sin, before they’ll accept their condition? – Psalms 51:17 A Christian should never become complacent or self-satisfied, he should pray and confess his sins everyday.

I T S HOULD H ELP U S T O S EE S IN E QUALLY, I N O URSELVES AND O THERS It’s human nature to condone in ourselves what we condemn in others. We must never be judgmental of the faults of others in a way that we would refuse to have ourselves viewed – Matthew 7:1-5 We must always remember that forgiveness for our sins is a two-way street – Matthew 6:14-15 Yet, it should not cause us to be tolerant of sin, or compromise with sin or sinners while they are still in sin – Acts 5:4 – Acts 8:20-23

I T S HOULD M AKE U S P REPARE A ND B UILD O UR C HARACTER We should prepare and study so we will be able to resist temptations and take a stand against sin – 1 Corinthians 9:27 – Philippians 2:12 It will cause us to grow in confidence and avoid despair – Acts 2:38 Grow in patience, so that we can finish the race – 2 Timothy 4:6-8

C ONCLUSION All of us are sinners, that is certain. The difference between the Christian man and the sinner is the way that they respond to that fact. One man repents and renounces his wrongs. The other refuses. The Christian loathes his sins and lives for the time when he will be completely rid of them. The rebellious sinner loves his sins and joyfully wallows in them. Which picture describes you or me? If it’s the second, and you want to enjoy the blessings that God has promised the faithful, something must be done about it, a change must be made.
