Engaging Learning is … Relevant Participatory Collaborative Challenging 11/06/2015 New Ideas in Foreign Language Teaching The learner understands how the materials are related to their language curriculum Learners are participants in the learning process. They interact with the content, each other, and the instructor. They are involved in decisions related to their learning. Students work together to solve problems, practice new skills, and create products that demonstrate their learning. Students are more likely to become engaged with learning activities when working toward a challenging, but reasonably achievable, goal.
