She grew up to be an actress  Erick Severeid was born in Velva, North Dakota, and became a journalist when he got older  Peggy Lee was born in North Dakota and became a star, then became a waitress  Louis L’Amour was born in Jamestown, North Dakota and started writing Western novels and he published over 400 of them

They have wolves, cougars, reptiles, and a huge train that you can ride, also it is located by the Missouri River  Dakota Heritage fest in Jamestown has a Accordion band, Alliance Dancers!  Mandan Rodeo Days is in Mandan, it is city wide and it is on the 4 th of July  North Dakota state fair in Minot. It is there for nine days, they have competition's needle work, cooking, plants, and concerts  Shiver fest is at Devils Lake
