3 What is “Peer”? Our Text p.17 A person of the same age, the same social position, or having the same abilities as other people in a group. Each of these group– has its own culture/ set of rules governing the behavior e.g. we have groups of friend belong to a nation/ a religious group

4 What is Peer Pressure? (Group Pressure)? To behave in the similar way / to share similar expectations. The group we belong to influence our opinions about the world, our interactions with others, and the decisions we make. The strong influence of a group on members of that group to behave in the same way, even if the behavior is not good.

5 Peer Pressure Situation p.18 You have been invited to the wedding of a family member you don’t like. Your friends are planning to see a popular movie this weekend. (The reviews say it is a bad movie.) All you friends have started to wear a new styles of shoes. (You think they look ugly.)
