1. Government Announcements and Stakeholder Voluntary Committments for the post-2015 framework for DRR

Why Commitments?  Have been explicitly requested by the General Assembly and will be recognized as a formal outcome of the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction  Bring more predictability to implementation of post 2015 framework for disaster risk reduction  Will be maintained online with mechanisms to promote, encourage and track progress in each organization’s commitment as appropriate. Various commitments will be featured from time to time in order to stimulate dialogue and showcase efforts that aim for practical and accelerated results

3. What has been the progress?  About 200 announcements and voluntary commitments have been registered  All 10 Stakeholder Group Statements at 6thAMCDRR have been uploaded  The challenge to be specific and measurable to enable tracking of progress  Initial survey of all online commitments registered by December 2014 to introduce at the WCDRR where further commitments will be developed.
