2. Growing up …… I was born to my loving parents and named after my mother. I’m a product of Richmond Public Schools RPS considering both my parents & grandmother worked there. I attended John B. Cary and Binford Middle School.Richmond Public Schools RPS I attended the Governor’s School for Government & International Studies (GSGIS) and was the third graduating class in 1997.Governor’s School for Government & International Studies (GSGIS) On June 15, 1997 I started my college career at James Madison University.James Madison University.

3. JMU….College Life I became a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority Incorporated in Spring of 1999. I’m a 4 & was given the name Quasar because through all my obstacles I ALWAYS shine my brightest. I majored in psychology with a double minor in math & statistics. After graduating in 2001, I continued with my studies to earn a Master’s in School Psychology and an Educational Specialist Degree.

Real Life….I gotta J O B I work at Swansboro Elementary School & Boushall Middle School as the School Psychologist.Swansboro Elementary School Boushall Middle School I evaluate students to assess their cognitive abilities. Facilitate individual & group counseling sessions. I attend various meetings to assist teachers & students, including CSC & SBEC. I am a first responder to crisis situations. I am a resource to teachers, faculty, staff, students, and parents.
