Survey Questions First: Part I A change was made after a few classes to not adhere strictly by the book because I felt it went off on too many tangents. (However, we will still be using some of the book material going forward). This decision has caused us to depart from the syllabus which I gave you at the beginning of the year, opting to announce the topics and assignments a week in advance. 1. Do you prefer this approach? 2. Would you like to return to the original syllabus and assignments? 3. Would it be helpful if I draw up a new syllabus for the remaining weeks of the course? (This will be done anyway).

Part II Although Q.C.C. is trying to push students and faculty alike to use Blackboard Learn, I quickly discovered that many professors are not using this in their classes. Since so many were not “on board” with this, I made the decision to design a website which could easily be accessed by all and perhaps give more flexibility in its use. 4. What % of your classes would you say use or have used Blackboard Learn? 5. Do you feel that Blackboard Learn would have been a better way to go for this course? Why or why not? 6. List the pros and cons of each. (Website vs. Blackboard Learn)

Part III As a teacher for almost 40 years, I realize that I can't please everyone, but I always seek to improve and do what is best for my students. 7. Do you feel as though I have been open to your concerns? 8. Is this a student-centered class? 9. Discuss any negative points about the class. (Please be honest …I respect honesty and this will in no way have an effect on your grade). 10. Finally, I ask for any other input you might like to offer that will help me improve the class. Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions. Our goal is to learn and hopefully inspire one another on our journey.
