Compiz

Some Demonstration Scenes

What is Demonstration Scene? Non-interactive presentation with video and audio run in real-time. Demonstration of programming skill, arts, and, music editing.

Demonstration Scene Usually, CPU/GPU power and storage are essential to generate beautiful real-time scene. (not video, I mean…) For example, the computer games you play…  Before 1995, most games can be easily stored into a CD-ROM. (They are just tens of MB)  Some games nowadays cannot be stored simply with a DVD-ROM. A criticized game “Grand Theft Auto 4” requires a blu-ray disc to be effectively stored. Hence, it took some efforts to make it playable on XBOX 360 since it still use DVD!

Demonstration Scene Some demo scenes have very tiny size (several ~ tens of kB). 3D objects, visual effects, text, and music are all combined in demo scenes. Some demo scenes requires hardware acceleration.

Some Other Variation… A 96 kB first-person shooting game:.kkrieger

Program Skill Coding for audio. Consider a CD-quality music compressed to several kB. Godlike skill of programming and algorithm. Concept of art also plays an important role.

Conclusion A tiny executive file may contain great amount of contents. Think of your homework. Almost all of them have larger size. Similarly, please don’t open unknown file from the Internet even if their size is very tiny.
