3 Overview of FEM The FEM is a numerical method for solving a system of governing equations over the domain of a continuous physical system. 구조물을 유한 개의 작은 요소 (Element) 들로 나누고 요소들을 연결하는 절점 (Node) 들의 변위를 미지수로 하는 연립방정식을 계산 함으로써 변위, 변형률, 응력 등을 구하는 수치해법
