2.  Celebration of the Epiphany is on January 6 th.  In Hispanic/Latino and Latin culture, as well as some places in Europe, it is known as Three Kings Day.

3.  The term epiphany means “to reveal”.  Remembrance of the coming of the wise men brining gifts to visit the Christ child.  Through this visit the wise men revealed Jesus to the world as Lord and King.

4.  Three King’s Day, or the night before, is the time for opening Christmas gifts.  The day is now observed as a time of focusing on the mission of the church in reaching others by showing Jesus as the Savior of all people.

6.  Gold was the gift given by Melchoir, a king of Arabia.  Frankincense was the gift given by Balthasar, a king from Saba (present day southern Yemen).  Myrrh was the gift given by Caspar, a king from Tarus (present day southern Turkey).
