Falconry By Robert Rolling Hills 2006
3
Falconry, which is using trained birds of prey to hunt, has been regarded as a noble art for a long time. The falcon is a symbol of high birth and luxury. Falconry is currently the only sport were men work with trained wild animals to hunt other animals.
4
The birds used for falconry are Osprey, Sea Eagles, True Eagles, Buzzards, the Harris Hawk, True Hawks, Falcons and Owls.
5
Falconry takes a lot of care and training. That is the most important part of falconry. To be a falconer and train birds to do falconry takes years of training.
6
The question everyone asks about falconry is "How do you get the bird to come back?" I think that the people who own the birds learn a special way to get them back, and that is the most important part of the training.
