2  GET INVOLVED  Pay attention & try your best in every class  Come everyday on time  Respect each other, school staff and school property Take pride in your school Make Cooper City High the best it can be Have a Terrific Year!

3  Late to School: sign in at front office and present ID. $5 fee for new ID.  Book bag stored under your chair--not on the floor  Ask teacher permission to get out of your seat  MUST have a pass to the restroom  Students will access teachers’ websites for assignments and homework  All students are expected to take notes in class

4  Off limits while at lunch  Please use bathrooms in cafeteria  WE DON’T WANT TO BOTHER CLASSES WHILE THEY ARE IN SESSION

5  You must be in first period by 7:30!  At 7:30 you are late to school and must sign in at front office  If you are tardy periods 2-7 the teacher will give a consequence

6  To be used only if you have a doctors note on file, in the office  Must be renewed annual  Your friend may not accompany you unless your doctors note indicates the need

7  Electronic devices, cell phones, Mp3 players and games will be CONFISCATED if in use during class time  Consequences-loss of electronic device for 24 hours Parent must sign for pick up and phone calls will not be accepted  Refusal to hand over the device will result in suspension

8  Bullying & Harassment-these behaviors will not be tolerated  We treat everyone with kindness  This includes virtual environments such as Twitter, Vine & Instagram  Bullying box and forms are  located in Guidance Office  Silence Hurts Hotline: 954-321-0911

9  You property is your responsibility--If you leave it unattended, it WILL get stolen  The school is NOT responsible, if you’re irresponsible BEST ADVICE—KEEP YOUR VALUABLES OUT OF SIGHT AND SECURED AT ALL TIMES

10  NOT ALLOWED Homework Food—Cafeteria funds may be added online Textbooks Clothes Or other items may not be dropped off in the front office for delivery to students Remind your parent that we will not call you out of class to deliver your stuff

11  We appreciate birthdays but these items can be distracting in a classroom Not Permitted Balloons Cakes & Cupcakes Stuffed Animals

12  We all love our morning snacks, but not when they makes us late to school!  Coffee, breakfast snacks and other food and drink are not allowed in class.  Please don’t arrive late with these things in hand—you will have to throw them out before entering school.

13  You have 2 days to make up the missed classwork for each day absent, not including the day of return.  To be excused, the absence must be called in within 48 hours  Do Not Try to Get an Absence Excused at the End of the Semester!

14  During class time, if a student is out, they must have a current and official school pass issued by a staff member  When in the hallways during class, please keep your pass in hand as you will be asked  Consequence—Report to your AP & Internal Suspension for skipping

15  Failure to follow all traffic rules will result in loss of your decal  Students may not go to their car during school hours  Clean your table and put your tray away  You may not take food or trays out of the cafeteria  You may not eat or drink in class, except for water  No sharing of lunch numbers  Free/Reduced meals can never be shared or given away  No food or drink in the classroom  You MUST have a pass to enter Guidance or the Front Office

16  No clothing with underwear showing  No tank tops, PJ’s, slippers, or spaghetti straps  Must have covered mid-section  No hats, sunglasses, or bandanas  No offensive signs or insignias  Must dress out for PE Consequences for dress code violations will be given!

17  Once students arrive on campus, they are not permitted to leave campus  If it is necessary for students to leave, only the parent/official guardian can authorize your sign-out  They must do this by either personally coming to the front office or authorizing another adult already listed on the Emergency Contact Card  Due to liability concerns, notes, phone calls, or faxes will not be accepted for students sign-outs

18  Possession of any tobacco product will result in:  Suspension  Possession of drugs will result in:  Suspension from school and possible expulsion This includes prescription drugs

19  To give in such a way that has no end.
