µ Manic Depression, also known as Bipolar Affective Disorder, is a psychological condition, famous for wide mood shifts µ These moods can range from extremely happy to extremely sad.

µ Irritability µ High energy levels µ Unpredictable emotional shifts

µ Manic Depression is one of the oldest disorders in history µ Cases have dated back to the 2 nd century, in Greece µ Aretaeus, a Greek Physician actually created the basis for Manic Depression as a unified concept.

µ Any person can develop this disorder µ It is most common with people who are highly creative, artistic, and sensitive people. µ Biological factors contribute to the likelihood of a person getting manic depression.

µ There is no medical cure to manic depression µ However it is possible to receive counselling, and slow down the frequency of depressive waves.
