Faculty Review 2 Intel  Teach Program The Intel ® Teach Program is a worldwide initiative to provide teachers with the skills to effectively integrate technology into existing curriculum to improve student learning. Since 1999, the Intel Teach Program has helped over 4 million educators in more than 35 countries. The goal of Intel ® Teach is to help classroom teachers develop student-centered learning through technology integration and project- based approaches.

Faculty Review 12/13/20 07 Objectives Designed to Provide faculty in Colleges of Education with access to Intel Teach course materials for use in pre-service and graduate courses Engage faculty in hands-on review of curricular content and design, analysis of curricula for integration into existing and/or new university courses Model the use of technology-rich instructional and assessment strategies Focus is on 21 st century skills, online tools and resources, and strategies for transforming credential/graduate programs Host Universities provide a connected computer lab and a minimum of 15 faculty participants. Guests may be invited from other Universities. Faculty participants dedicate the full three days (partial participation will not result in access to Intel ® Teach course materials) Faculty participants who complete the Faculty review event are provided with access (without charge) to Intel Teach materials

THINKING WITH TECHNOLOGY: The goal of the Intel ® Teach Thinking with Technology Course is to help classroom teachers Participants develop standards-based unit plan, support materials, and implementation strategies to improve and assess students' higher-order thinking with the use of free online tools. ESSENTIALS: The goal of the Intel ® Teach Essentials Course is to help classroom teachers develop student- centered learning through technology integration and project-based approaches using Web 2.0 tools. 5

They assign log-in and password information for student access to projects. They may also access the Help Guide, and Designing Effective Projects, Unit Plan Index, and other resources on the Website. Student/Teacher Candidate Resources Students/teacher candidates are provided with a CD that includes the Thinking with Technology Course text, supplemental resources, and Help Guide. Blogs often take the form of a journal and are regularly updated with new entries WIKIS: Wikis are collaborative Web sites that can be set up to be edited by anyone or only designated users. The creator of a wiki can receive notice of all changes and can track and monitor the development of the site content. COLLABORATIVE WEBSITES Collaborative Websites allow individuals to create or upload documents to the Web where they can then be edited using familiar formatting tools.
