Who is He? Bell father and brother had all been associated with work on elocution and speech, and both his mother and wife was deaf, profoundly influencing Bells life's work. His research on hearing and speech further led him to experiment with hearing device which eventually culminated in Bell being awarded the first U.S patent for the telephone in 1876. In retrospect Bell considered his best most famous invention an invention and intrusion on his real work as a scientist and refused to have a telephone in his study.

What Have They Done? Alexander Bell worked on ways to translate the human voice into vibrations, and came up with the idea of the telephone. In 1875 Bell begun working with Thomas Watson, a mechanically-inclined; by 1876 Bell had uttered the first intelligible sentence over the phone: “Mr. Watson, come here, I want you.” Later in his career Bell worked on a variety of inventions, including flying machines and hydrofoils.

How Did He Change our Society Alexander Bell changed our society because if he did not invent the telephone, we will never talk to people in America or other places and I think that the telephone was Alexander's best invention.
