9 EHU FORECAST AND PLANS EHU forecast that the income from tuition fees will fall at least by 20% in the year 2011-2012 and by 10% in the following academic year. In response EHU is planning: Reduction of the staff costs by 3% in the two following academic years 2011-2012 and 2012-2013; Reduction of IT, Science budgets and Operations by 92’000 EUR in the next 3 years; Increase in the income collected through development department to 228’000 EUR in 2012-2013 and to 250’000 EUR in 2013-2014.

10 If the admission results and drop rate will not meet our forecasts the reduction of staff costs shall increase. 12 Monday, December 14, 201512 EHU Trust Fund Basics Initiated by the European Commission Established by the Nordic Council of Ministers in June 2008 Mandate up to end of 2013 Total donations and confirmed commitments to date 8.5 million EUR Provides 2.931.621 EUR to the EHU in academic year 2010-2011 (56 % of the total budget)

17 Courage and Commitment The Campaign for the European Humanities University 2011-2018 Diversify and expand EHU’s funding base, making the university more sustainable and increasingly influential in the region

18 Courage and Commitment The European Humanities University (EHU) is launching a multi-year fundraising campaign with the long-term goal of creating a funding base that can secure a substantial portion of the university’s annual operating income from private donors. Entitled “Courage and Commitment,” it reflects the dedication and resolve of the University’s staff, students, faculty and founding donors to laying the foundations for a free and democratic Belarus.
