NQT Support Programme Friday 6th November – NQT 2 nd Annual Conference ALL DAY "Survive and Thrive as an NQT" full day conference at new Attenborough Centre including key note by Mike Gershon on Growth Mindset and workshops on time management and differentiation. Friday 12 th February - NQT Twilight Catch Up: Behaviour for Learning with Nicky Morgan Friday 15 th April – NQT Twilight Catch Up: Return of the Lazy Teacher with Jim Smith Friday 13 th May – NQT Twilight Catch Up. Next Steps. Note that this date has changed from the original advertised. A sign up form will be on the website next week and sent to all PTs and NQTs.

MA in Education Our MA in Education is like a mini-doctorate, suited to busy professionals, who enjoy independent learning, researching their own practice & professional context, using VLE & meeting peers in twilight seminars Seminars: 6 twilights, 5.00-7.00, a term on Research Methods + other optional seminars (e.g. presentations by students) You have a specialist tutor to guide your research, with opportunity to join a small specialist group (e.g. Leadership & mentoring, Science, English, Mathematics or other subject discipline, Research Leaders, Primary Education, Widening Participation, etc) Dissertations: Developing home/school links to support wider reading at KS3 Enhancing mentoring for vulnerable pupils: a whole-school approach to enhancing pupil mentoring Investigating a dialogic coaching model for teacher professional development

Sussex Research Network, recruiting for 2016-8 Research Leaders MAE. The Centre for Teaching & Learning Research seminar on Monday 19th October, 5.00-7.00pm, Fulton, University of Sussex when Caroline Creaby, Assistant Head teacher, Sandringham School in St Albans, will talk about her school’s research culture and the impact on pupil achievement. Sandringham is nationally renowned for its commitment to this.
