Using MLA form
2
Collect information from all sources. See MLA guide on Website for most common sources. Generally the author’s last name is the first information needed. Invert the author’s first and last name so that the last name is the first information seen. If no author is given (as often happens in periodicals or online sources), use the “Title” of the source.
3
Determine the correct alphabetical order of the sources. When recording each entry, begin at the left margin. All other information is given across the line to the right margin– not as a list. Double space entire page. Additional lines for that source will start at five spaces from the left margin.
4
Hawthorne, Nathaniel. “The Interior of a Heart.” The Scarlet Letter. New York: Bantam Books, 2003. 126-133. Print.
5
Alphabetize entries by author's last name or the first available information Follow correct order of most current MLA guide. First lines start at the left margin. Second lines are indented. Double space entire page. Page margins are one inch. Check MLA guide for more examples. GOOD WORK !!!!!
