3.  This is a process of identifying a vehicle using a number plate.  To recognize the number plate  Capture image  Find the number plate  Plate extraction  Segmentation  Feature extraction  recognition

4.  It makes it easier to recognize a vehicle.  Effective.  It is Cost efficient

5.  Able to capture image(retrieve number plate).  Able to recognize.  Compare with database.

6.  Sensor  Used to detect vehicles and activate the digital camera.  Digital Camera  Used to capture images to be used in the system.  C / Java programming  A program to process image and grayscale them.  Database  Used to store information used for comparison to grant or deny access.

9.  Using number plate recognition is not time consuming.  This system is reliable to use.  Can help in traffic control,  seizing car thieves and  managing parking lots automatically.
