2. Most holy and merciful Father, we acknowledge and confess before You our sinful nature, prone to evil and lacking in doing good. You alone know how often we have sinned, in wandering from Your ways, in wasting Your gifts, in forgetting Your love. 6. How do you protect yourself? 7. The tragedy of being wrong! (v21-23)  More than words  Notice it is what the person says…  What should we be saying to the Lord?  Not even our service in His name!  Notice it does not mention God’s will but acts of service  Many will not even know they are being deceived.
