Diversity Across Australia There are hundreds of distinct Aboriginal groups across Australia- each with unique names usually identifying particular languages. Each language was used for original myths. With so many distinct Aboriginal groups, languages, beliefs and practices, scholars cannot attempt to characterize the full range and diversity of all myths.

Oodgeroo Noonuccal Oodgeroo 1920-1993) was an Australian poet, political activist, artist and educator. She was also a campaigner for Aboriginal rights.
