Program Overview LifeWorks is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our Counselling Approach Counselling may take place over the telephone, by video (live via webcam) or in person Short-term, solution-focused Number of sessions varies and determined on a case-by-case basis Our EAP counsellors must: -Adhere to our service and quality standards -Have a minimum of five years’ experience -Hold a Master’s degree in psychology, social work or other human services field -Be members of their respective professional body

Management Consultation Service provided by our Organizational Services team to support managers dealing with workplace issues/concerns. We can: Serve as a confidential sounding board Help with sorting out complex, sensitive issues Coach for problem-solving, communication techniques Help identify resources Provide guidance when you need to refer an employee to the EAP

Monitored Referrals Consult with your Human Resources team first. Contact LifeWorks management consultant before referring. Employer and employee to sign Release of Information (ROI) form. Employee can access counselling 24/7 through main EAP line – suggested timeline is within three (3) business days. Email or fax back signed ROI form. LifeWorks provides follow up regarding employee’s participation with EAP to Authorized Contact(s) listed on ROI. Upon employee’s completion of counselling through the EAP, LifeWorks to conduct final follow-up.
