What should have REALLY happened… FACT: 1lb of dry ice= 8 cubic feet of gas (About enough to fill 125 2 liter bottles!) Therefore… more dry ice= bigger/faster explosion ©The Learning Zoo 2011

Let’s Make Some CO2 Bubbles! STEP 1: Mix sugar and water in bucket until sugar is dissolved. STEP 2: Stir in root beer extract. STEP 3: Carefully add dry ice to mixture. STEP 4: Watch the magic happen! STEP 5: Wait until the ice is evaporated completely and then try a taste! WARNING: May cause burns when touched. Do not inhale CO2 fog. ©The Learning Zoo 2011
