State Board of Education (SBE) Motion carries March 12, 2009 The SBE authorizes the State Superintendent of Public Instruction to develop statutorily required standards for school library services, as model standards. Our goal: SBE approved library standards for California, online and in print.

Set targets adapted to school size, level Define targets by performance level. What really exists in high performing libraries? Conditions necessary for library program to meet student standards
