Organic Food Statistics 1–2% of total food sales worldwide, developed and developing nations (Exporting). US $23 billion in 2002 to $40 billion in 2006 and US$70 billion by 2012. 31 million hectares certified, and 62 million certified wild harvested areas. 17 to 20 % per year vs conventional food 2 to 3 % per year.
