2. (Click here to go to our website) Call to Order – President Ted Gonsiorowski called the meeting to order and led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

3. We met in The Regent Ballroom, guest of our fellow Lion, David Lin.

4. Invocation – David Hunter: For food so good, we thank Thee, Lord. For friends, we thank Thee too. Guide us now, we pray, Thy will ‘er to do. Amen. Vittles – Submarine sandwiches, thin pickled cucumber slices, really hot relish (whew!!!), condiments, Cheetos, potato chips, chocolate bottom macaroons and bottled water.

5. There being no guest speaker, we Lions took the time to just be happy.

6. Attendance – 19 members, 1 visitor. Guests – Larry (guest of Fonda Bowden) Birthdays – none. Lions Report – David Lin broke his shoulder in a fall from his motor scooter and will have surgery. Bob Suter’s memorial was last Friday and four Lions attended. If you are ill or know a fellow Lion that is under the weather, call Pat Bryan at 586-4535.

8. our past member Fred Frehner who had an encounter with a large gander (male goose) as he walked around his pond, causing him to fall and break his wrist. (Fred, not the gander)

9. Gordie Gordon had surgery on his eyes.

10. Announcements – President Ted Gonsiorowski announced that our new Lion was in attendance,

11. Yuan Liao (Claire). Claire is studying in ACE at the University as a graduate student from China. She is very happy to give back to the community.

12. Dave Hunter suggested we help our Program Chairman with ideas for speakers.

13. Sam McGrew will be our new program director and announced that there will be an interesting speaker coming up.

14. Jay Hoeflinger announced a project for the Center for Women in Transition.

15. There was a lot of chatter and some jokes.

16. Tail Twister – Omer Benn asked Tom Yaxley to carry the bucket (his cap).

17. He fined Kathy Struck for some white paint on the right front fender of her car.

19. Kathy paid for bragging about her great niece who won first place in a national gymnastics contest.

20. Then everyone put in a dollar for not having contributed to the lottery today.

21. Our Twister was kind and paid for our new member, Claire.

22. His philosophy for today: “Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes”.
