2 Reasons We Resist Becoming Mature 1 st Because we drift away from what we hear Hebrews 2:1-3  we are not deaf; we drift  we do not plunge into danger; we drift

3 Reasons We Resist Becoming Mature 2 nd Because we fall aside from the Lord’s path Hebrews 3:12-13  what happened to Israel? 3:7-11  a month long trip took 40 years!  they didn’t lose their map; heart

4 Reasons We Resist Becoming Mature 3 rd We fail to mix faith with truth Heb.4:1-2  “the word was not united with faith”  Good sermon? Do?  “The Bible was not given to satisfy idle curiosity; it was given to change a life.”

5 Reasons We Resist Becoming Mature 4 th We become dull of hearing Heb. 5:11-14 hear, drift, then fall, stop hearing altogether when we shut God out we can no longer be taught, disciplined, encouraged, guided
