RPD The mission of the Reactor Physics Division is to: –Promote the advancement of theoretical, applied, and experimental research in reactor physics –Seek a better understanding of reactor physics –Seek a better understanding of reactor operations and in-core fuel management through the development and application of fundamental tools –Encourage improvement in basic physical data –Support testing of tools and data in reactor experiments

RPD Services to Membership Student Support –Henry/Greebler scholarship fully endowed Currently awarded annually as a graduate student scholarship –2011 Recipient: Paul Romano (MIT) –2010 Recipient: Josh Hykes (NCSU) Expect to add annual undergraduate award in 2012 –Providing a financial contribution of $2500 annually for the student conference Recently increased from $2000 –Providing $1000 annually for student travel to the ANS National Meetings
