11. The Interview Turn up on time! Know your CV “Why do you want this job?” –What you can add to the practice (without being critical!) –What strengths you have –What you will get out of the post Strengths & Weaknesses Answer honestly – don’t exaggerate! Have examples ready to confirm your answers

12. General Comments: LISTEN TO THE QUESTION! LISTEN FOR THE CLUES Talk clearly Don’t talk too much Don’t go off at tangents Look for the non-verbal signals (use your consultation skills!!)

13. Questions to ask What do they mean by “Full-time”? What will your earnings be? Do they have a practice agreement? Who can I phone to ask any questions I might think of later? When will you be making your decision?
