One class per semester Forms due Friday, September 4, 3PM Signatures from parents and teachers Must earn 60% to pass, percent will be reported on your final transcript Below 60% is failing, this will make you ineligible for activities If a form is submitted, you can not later decide you want the letter grade

Guidance must have a signed parent release Free periods are a privilege Maintain passing grades or privilege will be lost, you will be scheduled into Admin Lab Every two weeks Guidance Counselors will check grades If all grades are passing then Free Period will be restored 1 st grade check is September 21!

Must have 6 additional classes No credit earned, but maybe silver cord… Student Assist paperwork should be completed by you, signed by your teacher, and turned into the Guidance Office

Must have completed EOC form on file by September 4, limited space, first come first served Transportation and meals provided September 10 – University of Iowa ◦ 7:30-4:00 ◦ Must have taken or be taking 2 nd year foreign language and algebra 2 October 29 – Indian Hills Community College ◦ 9:30 – 2:00 ◦ Must be passing all classes 48 hours prior to trip November 19 – William Penn University ◦ 8:15 – 1:00 ◦ Must be passing all classes 48 hours prior to trip

ACT or SAT is required for entrance to 4-year college and universities IHCC accepts ACT or Compass Students who have not taken the ACT/SAT will be scheduled for the Compass on IHCC campus ◦ September 16, October 21, or November 4 ◦ Free test, transportation provided, return to school by 12:30 ◦ You will be given notice on Monday prior to test, must tell the Guidance Office on Mon/Tues if not attending ◦ 2 Hour Compass testing, information about IHCC programs, complete college application, and tour

IHCC Welding students – classes begin Monday, August 31 at 12:20. See me if you need a schedule, they were mailed home. All IHCC students need a student handbook, please come forward to get a copy.
