Shirts This is an example of an American shirt. قميص امريكي This is an example of an Iraqi shirt. قميص عراقي

Shoes This is an example of Iraqi shoes. احذية عراقية. These are examples of American shoes. أحذية امريكية.

Flags This is the American flag. علم الولايات المتحدة الامريكية. This is the Iraqi flag. علم العراق

Foods This hot dog, milkshake, and cookie are examples of American foods. طعام امريكي. This is an example of an Iraqi food called Kooba. طعام عراقي.

Weddings In an Iraqi wedding, the bride’s face is covered and when the groom arrives, she reveals her face. تغطي العروسة وجها حتى يأتي العريس. In an American wedding the bride has bride’s maids and the groom has a best man. للعروسة وصيفة وللعريس وصيف.

Dresses This is a retro American dress. لباس امريكي. This is an example of an Iraqi dress. لباس عراقي.

Climate Differences اختلاف المناخ Iraq has such hot climates most of the time in the winter, Iraqis cannot get snow to fall down. They only get rain. So really, the rain is like a substitute for the snow. المناخ في العراق بشكل عام حار. في الشتاء لا يسقط الثلج. ولكن هناك مطر بدل عنه. The overall climate of the U.S. is pretty much temperate. المناخ بشكل عام في امريكا معتدل.

Army Gear This is how the Iraqi army looks like. هاكذا يبدوا الجيش العراقي.. This is how American army looks like. هاكذا يبدوا الجيش الامريكي.

الشوارع Streets This is an America street. هذا شارع امريكي. This is Iraq. هذا شارع عراقي.

Hats This is an example of a hat made in America and mostly likely is worn in America. These are some Iraqi hats.

Ways of Eating Most Americans eat with spoons, forks, and knives. They usually eat on high tables and sit on chairs. When they are done eating, a quick wipe of the mouth and hands means that they cleaned “all” of the food and odors off of them. Most Iraqis eat on the floor. But, of course they put something under the food so that the food will not get dirty because of the floor. Some Iraqis eat with spoons and forks. Most Iraqis wash their hands before and after they eat.

Food Some Iraqis eat Fatush- (a salad with fried pita bread on top.) Some Americans eat cereal like Cheerios and eat candy like Fruit Roll-Ups. These kinds of foods come from America.
