An adjective describes a noun or a pronoun. An adjective answers: What kind? Which one? How many? Example: happy dog tired boy seven girls

Articles A, An, and The The is the definite article A and an are indefinite articles. Use a in front of a word that has a consonant sound. Use an in front of a word with a vowel sound.
