What are Marie Curie Actions
4
What are Marie Curie Actions (FP7) Marie Curie ActionObjective Initial training of researchers (1900 M€) Initial Training Networks (ITN) Improve career perspectives of early stage researchers in both public & private sector Life-long training and career development (1170–1400 M€) Intra-European Fellowships (IEF) Career development of experienced researchers by e.g.: diversification skills/competencies; integrate a stable position after mobility Career Integration Grants (CIG) Co-funding of regional, national, international programmes (COFUND) Industry dimension (250-450 M€) Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP) Open and foster dynamic pathways between public research organisations and private commercial enterprises International dimension “World fellowships ” (1170–1400 M€) International Outgoing Fellowships (IOF) Reinforce extra-European dimension of the ERA through mobility through training, knowledge transfer and cooperation International Incoming Fellowships (IIF) International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES) ITN PhD – ESR (ER) IAPP postdoc – ER (ESR)
5
ITN Training of PhD’s Intersectoral mobility via double hosting and/or short term secondments Industrial PhD’s Full training program (scientific, applied, transferable) IAPP Transfer of knowledge Intersectoral mobility via long term secondments Junior, senior, technical staff What are Marie Curie Actions (FP7)

MCA supporting postdocs in industry strong interaction industry-research centres-academia is looked for relevant university partners relevant industrial partners and active involvement –industrial PhD’s (now emphasized with EID) clearly stipulated training/ToK programme and strong transferable skills programme via Doctoral School and applied training via on site industry training ‘clearly’ and ‘detailed’, yet sufficient flexibility in view of Fellow’s profile/training needs (PhD research is difficult to plan) training of the Fellow is a crucial project outcome 100% funding, also for industry initiate long-lasting relationships follow-up projects –with network partners –with Fellows!! organizations and Fellows can get to know each other without long term commitments often resulting in a successful continuation added value of inter-sectoral PhD’s is strongly acknowledged by both sectors mobility of researchers opportunities for both Fellows and organizations
