STEPS TO COMPLETE THE FAFSA Log on to www.fafsa.ed.govwww.fafsa.ed.gov Click Start A New FAFSA Follow the steps as directed Be sure to create a PIN for you (the student) and the parent/guardian who claimed you Select 2014-2015 school year. Fill in information requested (Utilize the taxes where student name appears) If student did not bring financial information, continue, but do not submit – save. If all information is entered correctly, electronically sign with PIN. If logged out, simply log back in under Returning User Login

4. After Completing the FAFSA Advise student that if he/she did not bring financial information, they will need to log back in to their saved FAFSA and enter financial information before submitting. (By March 1) Once submitted, he/she will receive an email with 2 weeks confirming that the Student Aid Report (SAR) is complete. Follow the directions for any additional requirements. At this point, the student and/or parent may contact the schools’ where he/she has been admitted financial aid office and ask what loans and grants will be offered. Advise the students that these amounts will be different at each school because the offered amount is based on the school’s tuition.
