4. About Oceans… Oceans cover 70% of the Earth’s surface We will review four oceans –Pacific Ocean –Atlantic Ocean –Indian Ocean –Arctic Ocean

6. Facts about the ocean Explain how the oceans obtain salt from rocks and soil. Explain how sunlight causes the color of the ocean. Explain the tides of the ocean and how they occur. Explains what causes the waves within the ocean.

7. Students pair into small groups Work together to complete diagram –Students will be provided a blank diagram of a wave. –Students will also receive a list with the parts of a wave and their descriptions –Students will work together to identify the wave parts and list them on the diagram.
